Our Design Team

Tip: Some dies create cut out pieces that you can also use on your creations.  The border die that I've used on my card includes a large flower outline shape (near the top end of the border) which I've kept and added to the bottom right corner of my card, adding a pearl centre.

Tip: When you are using a fairy that flies you can intensify the look of being in the sky by using shades of blue in the designpapers and using blue glittery frantage

Tip- Add a few dots around leaves and flowers to make the outline stand out. It's a change from adding distressing inks and chalks.

Lisa S
Tip: I used an old deck of playing cards to create my ATC's

Tip: Add tracing paper over your papers to tone down the
colours making them more pastel,
The flower centre is the same paper but with the tracing paper
over the background you can see it is muted.

Tip - Don't forget to rummage through your 'bits' box, as you might be surprised what you find :) Take this little fella, I actually coloured him in and mounted him on his painted layer some months ago and he has just sat in my bits box until now! I know my colouring has changed a bit since then, but I still think he makes a great card :) xx

Sue -

Don't be scared of leaving lots of white space around your image to allow it to take centre stage, although a line of stitching around the edge can create extra interest.

Enjoy our challenge this fortnight
